On Tuesday ShutterBooth was honored to work with Nike at the first stop of the Lebron James “More Than A Game” tour! The event was held downtown Chicago at Seward Park.

People of all ages enjoyed posing for photos in the ShutterBooth with their Lebron James gear and basketballs, all courtesy of Nike. Event guests were also treated to food from Robinsons Ribs and a wide assortment of fun activities. There were various performances by local dance troupes and musicians, and Chicago Public School students were able to participate in basketball clinics with members of the WNBA.

The highlight of the event was Lebron James himself, who made an appearance with Mayor Daley to honor and recognize the “Afterschool Matters” and “NeighborSports Youth” programs here in Chicago. These programs are aimed at teaching teenagers valuable life skills. Lebron James urged the young people of Chicago to give back to their communities and make a difference.

ShutterBooth Chicago had a great time being a part of such a tremendous event. Thanks to Nike and the Chicago Park District to all of their help and support in prepartion of the event.

The “More Than a Game” tour will be making stops in several other U.S. cities. ShutterBooth is looking forward to being a part of these exciting events, be sure to come check it out at a city near you!

ShutterBooth had the honor of providing a photobooth at the ‘Graduation Gala’ for the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business Executive MBA Graduates.

The event was on Saturday, March 21st, 2009 at the legendary Field Museum in Chicago. Guests were treated to a fabulous dinner provided by Blue Plate Catering, one of the city’s top event companies. After dinner the attendees let loose and spent the evening on the dance floor and in the photo booth! The teams at the University of Chicago, Blue Plate Catering, and The Field Museum all worked together to put on a truly stunning event, and the ShutterBooth photostrips were a huge hit with the guests!

ShutterBooth was at the “Toast, Taste, & Tour” event organized by Kara Underwood of Magnificent Milestones last weekend. The party was a truly unique bridal event and we were excited to participate! Couples were shuttled around town in trolleys and had a chance to see some of Chicago’s best venues and event decor.

The tour started at Smitten Boutique in the West Loop, where couples boarded the trolleys (courtesy of the Chicago Trolley Co.) and headed to Lincoln Park Zoo’s Cafe Brauer for the “ceremony.” Immediately following the brides were whisked off to Peggy Notebaert Nature Musuem for a cocktail hour, then the Ivy Room. The next stop was Envent for the “after party”, where couples were able to try out ShutterBooth’s photo booth! The after party also included another hot wedding trend, the “late night snack”, provided by Limelight Catering. Attendees were served mini hamburgers with french fries and were also treated to a unique popcorn buffet. For the final stop they returned to Smitten where they had a chance to enjoy desserts and cake from Tipsy Cake and Take the Cake.

We had a blast being part of such a unique and interesting event, and really enjoyed meeting all of the newly engaged couples and vendors.

We can’t wait to work with everyone again soon!

Last week we had the pleasure of being involved with three incredible bridal events in Chicago, all sponsored by Chicago Social Brides Magazine.

On Tuesday, February 17th brides had a chance to try out the photobooth at the “marriage” of the Murphy Auditorium and Berghoff Catering. This was an excellent opportunity for the Murphy Auditorium to showcase their event space, which was decked out in impressive lighting and decor from Frost and Event Creative.

Fig Media was on hand to provide the perfect tunes while couples were treated to delicious treats including a “create your own cake station” and several funky signature cocktails from the Berghoff. For the couples who needed a little decor inspiration – Hall’s Rentals, BBJ Linen, and Kloeckner Floral all worked together to showcase a unique and stunning array of table set-ups and reception decor. Ray Pryor from Emotia Photography took some great photographs of the event:

Thank you to Catherine Carey from the Murphy Auditorium for asking us to be a part of such a wonderful event – we enjoyed meeting everyone and look forward to working with you at lots of weddings this upcoming season!
